Until then, if you are within the child-bearing age range, pregnancy can occur even if you aren’t ready. To prevent unwanted pregnancies, seek a form of birth control that works for you and your lifestyle. One such method is the IUD. IUD stands for intrauterine device. Earlier devices included the Dalkon Shield which fell out of favor some twenty or more years ago when women began getting serious infections with them. Now, the IUD has made a comeback. The IUD is over 99 percent effective at stopping pregnancy. It rivals the traditional birth control pill for pregnancy prevention. With an intrauterine device, pregnancy is prevented for anywhere from five to ten years as long as the device stays in place. The general shape of an IUD is like a capital letter “T.” the device is inserted into the vagina by a doctor. The top of the device extends into the fallopian tube openings with the rest of it hanging inside the vagina. There are two strings that extend from the end of the device for easy removal when you are ready. There are two types of IUDs on the market: copper and hormonal. The copper IUD is branded ParaGard. It can be inserted for up to ten years at a time. The device works by releasing copper into the vagina which in effect, kills the sperm. The device also inhibits implantation of the egg should the sperm reach it. The Mirena is a hormonal IUD. It contains hormones much like the pill that makes the uterus unsuitable for implantation by an egg. It has the same shape as the copper IUD and inhibits the motility of the sperm to reach the egg. Pros of IUD Methods of Birth Control: • Both IUDs, copper and hormonal, offer protection from pregnancy without worry. The device stays in place with low maintenance.

Doctors recommend you check once a month for the presence of the strings to be sure it is still in place in the vagina. • The Mirena offers women lighter or, for some, the absence of periods. Also, cramping is virtually nonexistent with the hormonal version. Cons of IUDs: • IUDs do not protect against sexually-transmitted diseases. If you are not in a monogamous relationship, this device may not be for you. • There is a chance of bacterial infection after insertion. • The device can expel itself spontaneously. This is why doctors recommend you check to see if you can feel the strings regularly. Once the device is out, pregnancy can occur at any time. • Heavy menstrual bleeding is a side effect. IUDs offer birth control without worry. You don’t have to remember each day to take something or have to concern yourself with regard to insertion and removal. IUDs work best when the two partners are committed to each other, but are not ready to start a family just yet. At the first week of using Maybelline Clear Smooth 8-in-1 BB Cream, pimples had began appearing on my face especially on the forehead. I thought of stop using the product after consuming the sample. But I noticed that pimples slow disappeared on the second week and dark spots on my cheeks had lessened. So after consuming the sample, I decided to buy Maybelline BB Cream in a tube. Now I've been using it continuously for almost 3 months.

What's good about this product? Aside from being budget friendly (P249), this one product has a multi-benefit of skin care and make-up. Aside from accentuating your color, it also cares for the skin. This comes in two shades, Fresh and Natural. *Select the correct tint by matching it to the shade of your neck, the correct shade is the one that seems to disappear into your skin. Maybelline Clear Smooth BB Cream can be used as an alternative for a foundation or a make-up base. It also works as a moisturizer and gives enough sun protection. It's all in one!

TIP: If you're hesitant to invest in any product, you can ask for product samples from counter. Or buy travel sizes. In this way, you get to roadtest the product before spending too much.
I wanted to crochet a Hello Kitty Bag so I search for patterns on the internet. I found a lot but some are for sale while free patterns are written in symbols. I'm no good in reading crochet symbols so I just decided to make one just by studying some pictures that I have seen.

This crocheted Hello Kitty bag is made of 17 basic granny squares, Hello Kitty square and single crochet at the sides. And with a little knowledge in sewing, I put on linings inside and in the strap. And there it is! Hope I would be able write a pattern the next time I make another one.

A friend gave me a souvenir shirt. It was so huge that I couldn't use it. So I decided to give it a makeover. But instead to myself, have it done for my two daughters. Did it as a blouse for my 7 year old and just add up a crocheted flower applique while the remaining lower part of the shirt was made into a short pants for my one year old little lady.

And there it is! Not just one but two.

1 large sized bangus

1 onion, chopped finely

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 small sized carrot, small cubes

1 box raisins (optional)

2 tomatoes, chopped

1 raw egg, large

1 tsp vetsin (msg)

1 tsp salt

½ tsp Worcestershire sauce

1 green bell pepper, chopped finely

2 tbsp flour

cooking oil for frying

Procedure

Scrape fish scales. Clean. Gently pound fish to loosen meat from the skin. Use flat side of a knife in pounding. Break the big bone at the nape and on the tail. Insert the end of the handle of an aluminum kitchen turner (sandok) through the fish neck. Gently scrape down the handle between the meat and the skin. Scrape down the tail, going around and on the other side of the fish. If you feel the meat is entirely separated from the skin, remove the handle, squeeze and push out meat (with the big bone), starting from the tail going out through the head. This way, you will be able to push out the whole meat without cutting an opening on the skin.

Marinate skin and head of fish with soy sauce and calamansi juice. Set aside. Boil fish meat in a little water. Drain. Pick out bones. Flake meat.

Sauté garlic until brown. Add onion and tomatoes. Stir in fish meat, carrot, and pepper. Season with salt, vetsin, ground pepper, and Worcestershire sauce. Add raisins.

Transfer cooked mixture to a plate. Cook, then, add raw egg and flour. Fill in mixture in bangus skin. Wrap bangus in wilted banana leaves or in aluminum foil. Fry. Cool before slicing.

Garnish with sliced fresh tomato, spring onions or parsley. Serve with catsup.
Pattern is made by Littlewhiteduck from Etsy. Detailed instructions and yarn suggestions are included in the pattern. I buy most of my patterns from this site (Etsy) since all patterns are downloadable and instant.
